ONEFA classic between Auténticos Tigres and Borregos Monterrey postponed

The ONEFA classic football game between the Auténticos Tigres of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and the Borregos of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions in Monterrey.

The match was originally scheduled for Friday, October 2, at the Estadio Gaspar Mass. Both participating institutions and the league decided to delay the game, confirming it would not take place during the weekend of October 2–4. A new date for the matchup has not yet been determined, though officials stated they will announce the rescheduled time through official channels.

The postponement affects a highly anticipated Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season, as both teams entered the game with undefeated three-game winning streaks. The Auténticos Tigres previously defeated the Águilas Blancas IPN, Borregos CCM, and Borregos CEM. The Borregos Monterrey secured victories against Borregos CCM, Borregos Puebla, and Pumas CU.
