Oneplay to produce ‘Věřitel’ series directed by Jan Pachl

The streaming platform Oneplay is producing a six-part mini-series titled ‘Věřitel’, directed by Jan Pachl. The production, handled by Punk Film, is currently filming in Prague, Pilsen, and the Central Bohemian Region, with shooting expected to continue until November.

Set during the 1980s and 1990s, the story follows Robert Winter, played by Martin Hofmann, an emigrant returning to the Czech Republic after years in Italy and France. Having served in the Foreign Legion, Winter seeks revenge against individuals who deprived him of his home, freedom, and love. The plot explores the post-revolutionary business environment, involving a trio of men with ties to politics and the police who exploit housing projects and engage in murder.

The series features a cast including Kristina Svarinská, Tomáš Jeřábek, Přemysl Bureš, Petr Lněnička, Lukáš Příkazký, Martin Dejdar, and Martin Stropnický. Matěj Šumbera portrays the younger version of the protagonist. The screenplay is written by Ondřej Gabriel and Tomáš Vávra, with Michal Reitler serving as creative producer.
