OnePlus 16 slated for October 2026 launch in China with upgraded specs

Leaks from tipster Digital Chat Station indicate that OnePlus will unveil its flagship OnePlus 16 in October 2026, likely debuting in China. The device is expected to retain the design language of the OnePlus 15, featuring a 6.78‑inch OLED panel with ultra‑narrow symmetric bezels. Spec rumours point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor built on a 2 nm process, a massive ~9,000 mAh battery using Glacier technology, and a high‑resolution camera system centred on a 200 MP primary sensor, complemented by a 50 MP ultra‑wide and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens.

The phone may also support a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, an increase over the 165 Hz display of the OnePlus 15. OnePlus has confirmed it will no longer launch new products in North America and Europe, citing patent disputes, rising marketing costs and competition. While the company continues operations in its home market and in India, the latest leak suggests the OnePlus 16 could skip the Indian market altogether, making the Chinese launch the primary focus.
