OnePlus 16 flagship set for October 2026 as brand exits Europe
OnePlus is preparing its next flagship, the OnePlus 16, which is expected to launch in October 2026 in China. The device will keep the overall design language of the OnePlus 15, featuring ultra‑narrow symmetric bezels around a 6.78‑inch OLED panel and a refresh rate between 185 Hz and up to 240 Hz. Under the hood it will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro built on a 2 nm process, paired with LPDDR6 memory. A large 9,000 mAh battery is reported, alongside fast‑charging support, and a rear camera module that may house a 200 MP primary sensor, 50 MP ultra‑wide and 50 MP periscope telephoto lenses.
The launch timeline was revised from a previously rumored September slot to October, and the phone may be limited to the Chinese market, with uncertainty about an Indian release. OnePlus has confirmed it will no longer launch new products in North America and Europe, citing patent disputes, rising marketing costs and intense competition. Existing devices will continue to receive software updates, and future updates will shift supported phones from OxygenOS to Oppo’s ColorOS. The brand’s withdrawal affects European customers, who will still have warranty and repair services for now.
