OnePlus 16 and Visionox announce high-performance mobile hardware
OnePlus has announced the upcoming launch of the OnePlus 16, scheduled for October 12. The new flagship is positioned as a high-performance gaming device, featuring the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Supreme mobile platform. The device is expected to be the industry's first to support a native 185FPS mode for several major mobile titles, including Delta Force, Peacekeeper Elite, and Naraka: Bladepoint.
Key hardware specifications for the OnePlus 16 include a 200-megapixel sensor with a LUMO imaging system, a 165Hz high-refresh-rate screen, and a 9000mAh battery. It will run on the new ColorOS 17.
In related display technology developments, Visionox has reportedly achieved the mass production of the world's first 2K resolution panel with a 185Hz refresh rate. Utilizing fourth-generation pTSF (phosphorescence-assisted thermally activated delayed fluorescence) technology, the panel aims to improve brightness, lifespan, and power efficiency. This new display technology is expected to debut in upcoming iQOO and potentially Honor mobile devices.
