OnePlus 16 unveiled; will not be sold in Denmark as company exits Europe

OnePlus officially teased its flagship OnePlus 16 at the ChinaJoy exhibition on 30 July 2026, presented by China head Liu Baoyou. The device is positioned as a gaming‑focused smartphone, featuring a high‑refresh‑rate display (165 Hz according to the Danish report, up to 185 Hz in other specs), an upgraded Fengchi gaming core, an Esports Triple‑Chip system and likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. Design details include a circular rear camera module, metal frame, ultra‑narrow bezels with LIPO technology, IP69K protection, a 9,000 mAh battery with 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, a 200 MP main sensor plus 50 MP ultra‑wide and telephoto lenses, USB 3.2, and enhanced haptics and speakers.

OnePlus announced that the phone will launch in the second half of 2026, with leaks pointing to an October release in China. The company also confirmed it is withdrawing from European and North American markets, meaning no new OnePlus models will be sold in Denmark or the broader region. Existing OnePlus owners will continue to receive software updates and warranty support, but future devices will only be available in China and India where the brand’s sales are strongest and parent company Oppo has a solid presence.
