OnePlus announces which smartphones will receive the upcoming ColorOS 17 update

OnePlus confirmed that its devices will transition from OxygenOS to Oppo's ColorOS, with the forthcoming ColorOS 17 built on Android 17. The company said the upgrade will be optional; users who prefer to stay on OxygenOS will continue receiving security and stability fixes on Android 16, while those who install ColorOS 17 can revert if dissatisfied.

Eligible models include flagship phones such as the OnePlus 11, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R, as well as mid‑range Nord devices (Nord 4, Nord 5, Nord CE5, Nord 6, Nord CE6, Nord CE6 Lite) and newer tablets like the OnePlus Pad series. Devices that have exhausted their support cycle—e.g., OnePlus 11R, the OnePlus 10 and 9 series, Nord 3 and Nord CE 4—will not receive ColorOS 17. The first stable releases for flagship models are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.
