OnePlus developing new budget smartphone for India

OnePlus is reportedly developing a new budget-friendly smartphone specifically for the Indian market. According to leaks from industry tipster Yogesh Brar, the upcoming device is expected to be a 4G-only model aimed at competing in India’s highly crowded low-cost segment.

The new device may sit below the current Nord lineup or within a new N-series, targeting a price point below ₹20,000. This move represents a strategic shift back toward more affordable hardware in India, where price sensitivity remains a significant factor for consumers.

While specific technical specifications have not been officially confirmed, the device is expected to be unveiled next month. This follows the recent release of the OnePlus N6x, which features a Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset and a 7,000 mAh battery.
