OnePlus exits Europe and North America, launches budget N6x for India and China
OnePlus announced that it will withdraw from Europe and the United States, ceasing the introduction of new smartphones and foldable devices in those regions. The move, disclosed in July 2026, redirects the company’s focus to its core Asian markets, chiefly India and China. Existing hardware will continue to receive software updates, but the OxygenOS platform will be discontinued and replaced by ColorOS 17, based on Android 17, with extended support timelines for flagship and mid‑range models. The OnePlus community forums are scheduled to close on 16 August 2026.
At the same time, OnePlus unveiled the budget‑friendly N6x phone for the Indian market. Priced at about €172 (approximately 18,999 rupees) for the base model, the N6x features a 6.8‑inch HD LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, 4 GB RAM, 64/128 GB expandable storage, a 7,000 mAh battery with 15 W charging, liquid‑cooling technology, IP64 rating, and MIL‑STD‑810H durability. It is offered in Ice Blue and Burgundy Red colour options.
