Smartphone manufacturers raise device prices in India

Major smartphone manufacturers, including OnePlus, Vivo, Samsung, and Xiaomi, are implementing significant price increases for various mobile devices in the Indian market. These hikes are largely attributed to a global rise in the cost of memory components, such as RAM and storage.

OnePlus has raised prices on several Nord and N-series models, with some increases reaching up to ₹4,000. Similarly, Vivo has implemented substantial hikes for its T5 Pro 5G, with some variants seeing increases of up to ₹7,000. Vivo has also listed the new Y31T 5G, which features a large battery and AI capabilities.

Samsung has also adjusted pricing for its Galaxy M and F series, while Xiaomi has increased the cost of its Pad 8 tablet. These adjustments reflect a broader industry trend of rising costs for consumer electronics due to component shortages and inflation.
