OnePlus withdraws from Europe and US, adopts ColorOS for remaining devices

OnePlus announced on 16 July 2026 that it will cease selling new smartphones in Europe and North America. The decision, confirmed by parent company Oppo, means no further OnePlus models will be launched in these markets after existing stock is sold out. Existing devices will continue to receive software updates, but the operating system will shift from OxygenOS to Oppo's ColorOS.

The company said its business will remain active in India and China, while support and warranty services will be maintained for current users. The pull‑out follows a broader strategy to concentrate resources on regions where the brand performs best and to consolidate the underlying codebase shared by OxygenOS and ColorOS, which already powers over 740 million devices worldwide. Staff reductions at European offices were reported, and the move is voluntary rather than forced by the prior patent dispute with Nokia.

Customers can still obtain security patches and service support for their devices until each model reaches the end of its official lifecycle, but no new OnePlus phones will be introduced in the European Union or the United States.
