OneView Commerce awarded £141m Post Office EPOS contract

OneView Commerce has secured a £141 million contract (excluding VAT) to provide a new electronic point of sale (EPOS) system for Post Office Limited. The agreement is part of the UK organization’s Horizon replacement programme, a key component of its five-year Transformation Plan to modernize technology across its branch network.

The new cloud-native, API-first platform will support EPOS, mobile services, customer engagement, clienteling, and self-service kiosks. OneView will collaborate with Accenture, which is managing the transition of day-to-day Horizon operations and back-end development. The new system is intended to provide postmasters with modern, reliable tools to serve their communities through a commercial off-the-shelf solution that avoids the need for extensive customization.
