Ongehoord Nederland members allege mismanagement in formal summons

Members of the Dutch broadcaster Ongehoord Nederland (ON!) have issued a formal summons to the organization's board, members' council, and supervisory board, alleging widespread mismanagement. Represented by Gerard van Erp, a group of over sixty members claims that the current leadership is jeopardizing the broadcaster's existence.

The allegations include structural deficiencies such as an understaffed members' council—which has operated with only five of the required twelve seats for over eighteen months—and a failure to hold mandatory general meetings. Furthermore, members accuse the council of financial mismanagement, specifically regarding the approval of the 2025 annual accounts and the granting of discharge to the board despite high expenditures on unnecessary legal proceedings.

The dissenting members have also requested that Rianne Letschert, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, intervene. They are demanding the replacement of the current board and supervisory board to restore governability, threatening legal action if their demands are not met.
