Ongjin County holds monthly meeting to reinforce local administration vision

Ongjin County held its September monthly meeting at the Hyosim Hall of the county office, where Mayor Jang Jeong-min addressed all employees to reinforce the vision of the ninth popularly elected administration. The mayor emphasized the goal of creating a ‘hopeful Ongjin where citizens are happy.’

Mayor Jang instructed officials to prioritize field-based administration tailored to the needs of residents, emphasizing honesty, integrity, and creative work attitudes. He specifically directed staff to evaluate all policies and projects based on whether they make the region a better place for citizens to live and whether they encourage young people to return to the area.

The county identified several key priorities for September, including preparations for the 53rd Ongjin County Citizens' Day, the establishment of the 2027 major work plans and budget formulation, preparations for the Ongjin County Council regular sessions, and comprehensive measures for the Chuseok holiday period.
