Incheon is implementing several administrative and social welfare initiatives across its districts. The Incheon Metropolitan Government has been selected for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s ‘2026 AI Champion Consulting’ program. This initiative aims to train 120 civil servants in practical AI applications to enhance digital administrative innovation and data-driven policymaking.

In Namdong-gu, a training program is underway to cultivate village activists to strengthen community-led local development. Meanwhile, Bupyeong-gu has conducted practical training for welfare teams focused on end-of-life care to improve field response capabilities for community integrated care.

The talks addressed challenges such as securing sites for patrol posts and budget shortages. Councilor Jeong is proposing amendments to local ordinances to include crime prevention posts under road occupation permits to streamline administrative procedures.
