Players of Onimusha: Way of the Sword can locate five hidden treasures by following ancient drawings unlocked through side mission encounters. These treasures provide resources for improving equipment and skills. To find them, players should use the Oni view when the Oni gauntlet flashes near a treasure location.

In the Lurking Shadows mission, players must also solve a mask puzzle in an underground laboratory to progress. The solution involves using the Oni bow to shoot four masks in a specific order based on the number of holes visible from outside the room. The correct sequence is the mask with one hole, followed by two holes, then three, and finally four.
