Onimusha Way of the Sword: Guide to Kyoto Mysteries

Onimusha Way of the Sword features a series of side objectives known as the Mysteries of Kyoto. Completing all eight of these mysteries unlocks the ‘Demystified’ trophy and achievement.

Players can track these mysteries via the ‘Curious Cases’ menu as Observations once the mission ‘What Lurks in the Shadows’ is completed. The locations are marked on the map by a butterfly icon. All collectibles can be found during free-roam play until the ‘Point of No Return’ at the final mission, ‘The Clash At Rendaino’.

The mysteries are distributed across different regions and unlock at various stages of the game:

Kiyomizu-dera Temple includes ‘The Light of Vengeance’, ‘A Wife’s Prayer’, and ‘Something in the Water’.

Eastern Kyoto contains ‘The Blessed Man’, ‘The Night Parade’, ‘The Faceless’, ‘The Three Worms’, and ‘Hanging Monkeys’.
