Onitsuka Tiger opens new flagship store in Milan

Onitsuka Tiger has opened a new two-story flagship store in Milan’s Piazza Liberty, located near the Duomo. Inaugurated during Milan Fashion Week, the location was designed by architectural firm STUDIODINICATALDI to merge Japanese aesthetics with Italian materials.

The store features a multi-level layout: the ground floor utilizes yellow marble and dark terrazzo; the mezzanine is dedicated to the brand’s NIPPON MADE series, focusing on craftsmanship; and the first floor showcases runway collections and footwear using steel, fluted glass, and concrete.

A key feature of the new location is Café Onitsuka Tiger, curated by Milan-based consultancy Kazoku Studio. The café offers a matcha and coffee menu with sweet and savory items, featuring an outdoor seating area that extends into the piazza to encourage community engagement. This expansion follows the brand’s recent opening on the Champs-Élysées in Paris and precedes planned flagships in Seoul and Los Angeles.
