Karlovac hosts senior social gaming tournament
The city of Karlovac hosted a Dobble tournament at the Ivan Goran Kovačić City Library as part of the ‘Mozgalice 60+’ workshops. These sessions are part of the ‘Splet generacija – Naše vrijeme’ program, implemented by the City of Karlovac under the ‘Potencijali zajednice’ project and funded by the National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
The workshops aim to provide social interaction, mental exercise, and new learning opportunities for older citizens, demonstrating that they can engage in new challenges and build social connections. The tournament featured participants competing for medals, with Mia Mikšić winning gold, Vera Mikšić silver, and Slađana Biškupović bronze. Local officials, including City Council President Mario Jovković and Vice President Ehlimana Planinac, also participated in the activities.
