Romanian Lotto 6/49 jackpot climbs to nearly €8 million for July 16 draw

Loteria Română scheduled a series of draws on Thursday, 16 July 2026, including Lotto 6/49, Noroc, Joker, Noroc Plus, Loto 5/40 and Super Noroc. The top prize in Lotto 6/49 (category I) reached a report of 41.54 million lei, roughly €7.9 million, making it the largest prize offered that evening.

Other games also carried substantial roll‑overs: Noroc held a report of over 3.11 million lei (€0.59 million), Joker’s category I was above 1.94 million lei (€0.37 million), Noroc Plus exceeded 436 000 lei (€0.08 million), and Loto 5/40’s category I topped 523 400 lei (€0.10 million). The draws followed a special summer session on 12 July that awarded more than 26 800 winners totalling over 3.23 million lei (€0.66 million). The upcoming July 16 draws attracted nationwide attention as players awaited the multi‑million‑euro jackpot.
