ONLYOFFICE releases version 10.0 with AI tools and security updates

ONLYOFFICE has released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, introducing context-aware AI capabilities across its document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. The update includes approximately 50 new features and over 1,000 bug fixes, alongside a significant security refresh that addresses roughly 35 vulnerabilities.

The new AI functionality allows users to summarize, translate, draft, and automate tasks directly within their files via a dedicated AI tab. To maintain data privacy, organizations can choose between cloud-based services or connecting to locally hosted AI models, ensuring sensitive documents remain within the organization’s own infrastructure.

In addition to AI enhancements, the release introduces new modular apps and maintains its licensing structure, with the Community Edition remaining free under AGPLv3.
