Onslaught trailer unveils super‑soldier showdown in Adam Wingard’s new film
A24 released a new trailer for Adam Wingard’s upcoming action‑horror film Onslaught, which premiered at San Diego Comic‑Con. Wingard, who co‑writes the script with Simon Barrett, describes the movie as a spiritual sequel to his 2014 cult thriller The Guest, set in the same town.
The trailer follows former Army sniper Celeste (Adria Arjona) as she battles a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers—identified as Crybaby, Cockroach and the Butcher—to protect her young daughter. The film will open worldwide, including IMAX formats, on September 4, 2026.
