Ontario invests in Northern Ontario tourism and infrastructure

The Ontario government is providing funding through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to support two community projects in Northern Ontario.

In Muskoka Lakes, $45,000 will be invested to expand and improve the Canadian Raceboat Hall of Fame. The funding will support the addition of five new interactive displays for the ‘Time Travel Through Canada’s Boat Racing History’ exhibit and new interpretive signage for the facility’s trail system.

In Timmins, $157,046 is being allocated to the Porcupine District Agricultural Society to upgrade and expand the Mountjoy Farmers’ Market pavilion. The investment aims to improve municipal infrastructure and support local economic activity for agricultural producers and small businesses.
