Ontario opens nominations for 2027 Rural Inspiration Awards

The Ontario government has opened nominations for the 2027 Rural Ontario Inspiration Awards. The annual program is designed to recognize individuals, businesses, organizations, and communities that contribute to economic growth, create opportunities, and strengthen rural areas across the province.

The awards feature eight distinct categories: Rural Inspiration, Rural Community, Rural Entrepreneur, Rural Youth Leader, Rural Economic Innovation, Rural Partnerships, Rural Champion, and Rural Heart. The initiative aligns with the three pillars of the province’s Rural Economic Development Strategy, focusing on safe communities, business development, and workforce growth.

Nominations are being accepted until October 23, and residents can submit entries through an online platform.
