Ontario police charge two drivers after false ID and 401 crash

Ontario Provincial Police in Peterborough County charged 56‑year‑old Christopher McGlennon after he gave a false name during a roadside inspection in Ennismore on July 8, 2026. He was convicted of personation, operating a prohibited vehicle and several traffic offences; his licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for a week.

In a separate incident on Highway 401 eastbound in Cramahe Township, OPP arrested 42‑year‑old Tyler Lazure of Oshawa after he failed to stop, fled a two‑vehicle collision and was later located. He faces charges including flight from a peace officer, dangerous and impaired operation and breach of probation. The injuries were non‑life‑threatening and he also received a 90‑day licence suspension and a seven‑day vehicle impoundment.
