Ontario police investigate death of Trumaine Kyte as homicide

Police in Ontario are investigating the death of 43-year-old Trumaine Kyte of Cambridge as a homicide. Kyte was discovered dead inside a vehicle in Puslinch Township on Monday, September 21, following reports of a suspicious vehicle.

The Wellington County OPP is leading the investigation with support from the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Authorities stated there is currently no evidence suggesting the incident poses a wider threat to the public and believe it was an isolated event.

Investigators are seeking assistance from anyone who was in the Wellington Road 32 area between 9 p.m. Sunday, September 20, and 7:30 a.m. Monday, September 21, particularly regarding dashcam or security-camera footage that may show suspicious vehicles or activity.
