Ontario Provincial Police investigate multiple thefts in Brighton and Forest
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are conducting multiple investigations into recent thefts in Ontario. In Brighton, the Northumberland Detachment is investigating several overnight vehicle thefts. CCTV footage from August 22, 2026, captured an individual attempting to access a vehicle on Pinnacle Street North at approximately 3:00 a.m.
Other reported vehicle thefts in Brighton include incidents on Young Street, where financial documents, gift cards, and personal belongings were taken, and on Alice Street, where Canadian currency and gift cards were stolen. Police have released a CCTV image and are seeking public assistance.
In a separate incident, the Lambton County OPP is investigating the theft of approximately $500 worth of meat products from a business on King Street in Forest. The theft occurred on August 17, involving two suspects who entered the store and fled in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle.
