Ontario woman charged with 65 offences involving hospital theft and fraud

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged 34-year-old Nassim Eronn with 65 offences, including fraud and theft, following allegations of stealing from patients and staff at multiple healthcare facilities across Ontario.

The investigation, which began in May after reports of theft at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, expanded to include several other institutions. The charges against Eronn include 34 counts of fraud under $5,000, 13 counts of theft under $5,000, seven counts of disobeying a court order, breach of trust, and impersonation.

Five healthcare facilities are involved in the investigation: Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Headwaters Health Care Centre, Trillium Health Partners (Mississauga Hospital), St Joseph's Health Centre, and West Park Health Care Centre. Police have executed search warrants and seized significant amounts of property. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and have urged the public to review financial records for suspicious transactions.
