Ontinyent advances urban renovation plan with 35 projects

The Ontinyent City Council is moving forward with the ‘Ontinyent Millora’ plan, a project involving 35 interventions to renovate streets, public spaces, green zones, and municipal facilities. The contracting board has proposed awarding the contract to the local company Guerola Áridos y Hormigones SL for 1.95 million euros. Of this amount, 1.5 million euros will be provided by the Diputación de València, with the remainder covered by the City Council.

Key projects include the creation of a new sidewalk on Carrer Sant Ignasi, renovations to the sidewalk, roadway, water network, and lighting on Avinguda de Vicent Gironés Mora, and accessibility improvements to pedestrian crossings on Avinguda d’Albaida. Other planned works involve urban renovation and pavement repair in areas such as Plaça Ovidi Montllor and several streets, including Carrer Major and Carrer Serreta. Additionally, the plan includes asphalt work on multiple roads, improvements to the municipal sports center, and a complete renovation of the central pedestrian walkway within the fairgrounds.
