Ontinyent festivals see high turnout and heat-related schedule changes

The Moros i Cristians festivals in Ontinyent have seen significant participation and logistical adjustments due to weather conditions. A ‘Majors Actius’ event at La Glorieta drew over 1,300 attendees, including a popular dinner for approximately 500 people and a musical performance by ‘Divas Rebeldes’.

Due to forecasted high temperatures, the local government has implemented changes to the musical programming to protect the public and performers. The Banda Simfònica d’Ontinyent performance, originally scheduled for Plaza Major, has been moved to the Teatre Echegaray. Additionally, the concert by singer Gisela, featuring ‘La veu de Disney’, has been rescheduled to 20:00 at La Glorieta to avoid peak heat hours.

The current festival program includes 18 musical proposals ranging from orchestras to DJs, with upcoming events scheduled for Thursday, August 20, including performances at the Museu del Tèxtil and the Alard parade.
