Ooono Co-Driver users report issues following data source change

Users of the Ooono Co-Driver are reporting increasing technical issues, including missed speed cameras, delayed warnings, and false alerts. These reports have surfaced on platforms such as Amazon.

A primary factor behind these issues appears to be the end of the partnership between Ooono and Blitzer.de, meaning data from that service is no longer integrated into the device. While Ooono continues to use its own community data and the British provider Cyclops, the impact of losing the Blitzer.de data source on real-world reliability is still being observed.

In a separate development, Lidl is offering the Ooono Co-Driver at a 49 percent discount, priced at 24.99 Euro. The device connects to smartphones via Bluetooth to provide real-time acoustic and visual warnings about hazards and speed cameras. Users are reminded that using such devices for speed camera warnings while driving is prohibited under German road traffic regulations (StVO).
