Ooono Co-Driver users report issues with speed camera warnings

Users of the Ooono Co-Driver are reporting increasing issues with speed camera warnings, including missed detections, delayed alerts, and false warnings. These reports have surfaced on platforms such as Amazon.

This trend follows the end of a partnership between Ooono and Blitzer.de, meaning data from that service is no longer integrated into the Ooono traffic warning system. While it is not yet objectively proven that the service degradation is solely due to this change, users have noted a decrease in warning frequency.

Ooono continues to utilize its own data sources, including its community and the British provider Cyclops, to provide alerts. In Germany, drivers should remain aware that using technical devices specifically designed to warn of or interfere with traffic surveillance is prohibited under § 23 Absatz 1c StVO, carrying potential fines and device confiscation.
