Oostende to host 2027 Cyclocross World Championships

The UCI Cyclocross World Championships will return to Oostende, Belgium, from January 29 to 31, 2027. UCI President David Lappartient expressed optimism regarding the event, noting that it aims to provide a significantly different atmosphere compared to the 2021 championships, which were restricted by pandemic-related limitations.

Unlike the 2021 edition, which lacked spectators and junior competitions, the 2027 event is planned to feature a full sporting program and tens of thousands of supporters along the course. Lappartient emphasized the importance of international visibility and the role of a live audience in enhancing the championship experience. The organization is being managed by Flanders Classics and Toerisme Oostende.
