Oosterhout municipality approves tree removal for apartment project
Two trees at Bouwlingstraat 83 in Oosterhout must be felled to facilitate the construction of the Idylle apartment complex. Although initial plans aimed to preserve the trees, they currently obstruct the placement and accessibility of a construction crane required for the site.
The development is situated on the former site of a mayor's residence and a medical practice. The project will consist of an eighteen-unit luxury apartment complex spanning five stories.
To mitigate the environmental impact, the municipality has agreed to a 1:1 compensation plan. Four new trees will be planted to replace the two removed: two at the original location and two in the immediate surrounding area.
