Opava sees fitness market expansion with new gym openings
The fitness market in the Czech Republic is seeing new international and domestic expansion, centered on the city of Opava.
Polish chain Xtreme Fitness Gyms has announced its first international location outside of Poland, set to open in Opava on October 15. The company intends to use the Czech Republic as a pilot market for its global expansion, focusing on growth through a franchise model. The network plans to offer specialized training zones, group classes, and digital services via a mobile application, while adapting its pricing and membership models to local conditions.
Additionally, the Element Gyms network has opened a new 880-square-meter facility in Opava at Horní náměstí. This location features cardio and functional zones, free weights, and equipment from Booty Builder. The gym utilizes a self-service system where members can manage memberships and access the facility via a mobile app, aiming for a streamlined experience without reception delays.
