OPEKA announces emergency child allowance payments and university scholarships
OPEKA has announced an emergency payment for the A21 child allowance scheduled for October 9, 2026. This payment will benefit approximately 5,000 families, covering roughly 8,000 children who were excluded from the September 30 disbursement. The delay was caused by pending school enrollment verifications within the mySchool system, which is a prerequisite for the allowance.
Additionally, OPEKA is managing applications for a scholarship program for successful students of the 2026 Panhellenic Examinations. The program offers 1,000 euros to 2,106 students who are enrolling in a public higher education institution for the first time. Applications must be submitted electronically through the OPEKA platform by October 15, 2026.
