Greece announces updates to child benefits, agricultural rights, and seasonal aid

Several administrative updates and social benefit deadlines have been announced in Greece.

The OPΕΚΑ electronic platform for the A21 child benefit is temporarily closing at 18:00 on September 11, 2026, to facilitate the processing of the fourth installment. The platform is scheduled to reopen on September 30, 2026, at 08:00. The fourth installment for the July-August period is expected to be paid on September 30, followed by the fifth installment on November 30, and the final installment of the year between December 18 and 24. Changes to future payments may occur following an evaluation of the National Registry of Benefits and Incentives.

Regarding agricultural support, the AADE platform remains open until September 15, 2026, for the transfer of basic income support rights. This includes nine categories such as permanent transfers with or without land, inheritance-based transfers, and leasing rights.

Additionally, DYPA has launched the electronic application process for the 2026 special seasonal aid, with amounts ranging from 719 to 1,438 euros. DYPA is also expanding its vocational apprenticeship network with four new branches in Kryoneri, Stratoni, Sindo, and Karpenisi for the 2026-2027 school year.
