OPEKA to issue emergency A21 child allowance payments

OPEKA has scheduled a supplementary payment of the A21 child allowance for October 9, 2026. This emergency measure follows a technical issue that prevented certain applications from being processed during the previous settlement cycle.

The problem originated from a technical malfunction at HDYKA SA, which affected the availability of student enrollment and graduation data required for verification. Because school enrollment information was not updated in time for the start of the academic year, specific applications could not be cleared through the information system.

To resolve this, OPEKA will conduct a new settlement of the affected applications. Additionally, the A21 electronic platform is set to reopen on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 08:00. The platform will remain available until November 13, 2026, at 18:00, allowing citizens to submit new applications for 2026 or modify existing ones.
