Opel and Stellantis advance Green-Campus construction in Rüsselsheim

Opel and Stellantis are advancing the construction of their new ‘Green-Campus’ in Rüsselsheim, Germany. The structural shell of the project is largely complete, and the focus is now shifting to the interior fit-out phase. The project, which involves a three-digit million euro investment from Opel, Stellantis, and a project developer, is expected to be fully completed in the second half of 2027.

The 114,000-square-meter campus is designed as a sustainable hub for administration, research, development, and design. It will house the headquarters for both Opel and Stellantis Germany. To minimize environmental impact, the facility will incorporate green roofs, photovoltaic panels, and one of Germany’s largest geothermal systems to manage heating and cooling.

Opel CEO Florian Huettl stated that the investment reflects confidence in the Rüsselsheim location, aiming to create a modern space for innovation and collaboration that supports new ways of working.
