Opel and Vauxhall highlight electric Corsa GSE performance
Opel is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with a focus on high-performance models and SUVs. At the Paris Motor Show, the brand is highlighting the Corsa GSE, a high-performance electric compact featuring a 281 Cv (207 kW) motor and 345 Nm of torque. This model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and features a lowered suspension for improved driving dynamics. The same powertrain is also utilized in the Mokka GSE SUV.
In the United Kingdom, the Vauxhall Corsa GSE has been named ‘Hot Hatch of the Year’ at the 2026 News UK Motor Awards. The award recognizes the vehicle's ability to combine performance, style, and daily practicality. Judges praised the car's character, noting its responsive handling, retro-inspired interior details, and its ability to deliver a driving experience reminiscent of traditional performance hatchbacks within an electric framework.
