Opel Astra owner faces 87-day service delay in Poland
An Opel Astra Sports Tourer Plug-in Hybrid has remained at an authorized service center in Ruda Śląska, Poland, for 87 days due to a faulty rearview camera. The issue began on June 3, 2026, when the owner reported a leaking camera. Although the component was replaced, the service center was unable to calibrate the camera, which is a mandatory requirement for the vehicle to be legally driven.
Stellantis Polska stated that the delay is due to technical difficulties involving software, configuration, and Stellantis servers, as well as issues with a new camera manufacturer. While the vehicle is considered mechanically functional, it cannot be released to the owner until the calibration is successfully completed. The service center has been unable to provide a definitive timeline for the resolution of the repair.
