Opel classic car legacy highlighted by rare finds and Speedster anniversary

Automotive enthusiasts are revisiting the legacy of Opel through various classic models. A rare Opel Kadett C Coupé GT/E from the '1000er-series' has surfaced as a restoration project after being stored in a dry cellar for 38 years. The vehicle features an original engine and ZF five-speed gearbox, though it requires significant work as it is currently not rollable.

Additionally, the 25th anniversary of the Opel Speedster is being marked. Developed during the era of the General Motors and Lotus partnership, the Speedster is noted for its minimalist design, weighing only 900 kilograms and lacking modern driver aids like power steering or ESP to prioritize pure driving pleasure.
