Opel Classic to debut at Automechanika 2026 in Frankfurt

Opel Classic will make its debut at the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt am Main, scheduled for September 8 to 12, 2026. For the first time, the division will host its own dedicated booth in the event's outdoor exhibition area.

The exhibition will showcase over a century of automotive history, featuring vehicles ranging from the 1899 Patentmotorwagen ‘System Lutzmann’ to motorsport icons from the 1990s and early 2000s. Notable models slated for display include the Opel GT, the Calibra V6 4x4, the Astra Kit Car, and the 1995 Opel MAXX concept.

Leif Rohwedder, Head of Opel Classic, stated that the participation aims to highlight the brand's unique history and bring it to life for an international audience, offering visitors a way to experience automotive tradition and innovation firsthand.
