Opel unveils Corsa GSE electric high-performance hot hatch

Opel has announced the launch of the Corsa GSE, a fully electric high-performance hot hatch. Positioned as the most powerful production Corsa in the brand's history, the vehicle features a 207 kW (281 hp) electric motor and 345 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h.

The car is equipped with a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery (51 kWh usable capacity), providing a WLTP range of up to 374 km. Charging capabilities include 100 kW DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 27 to 30 minutes.

To enhance driving dynamics, the GSE model includes a sport-tuned chassis with lowered suspension, reinforced stabilizers, and a Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential. It also features Alcon four-piston performance brakes and 18-inch wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Drivers can select between Sport, Normal, and Eco modes. The vehicle is scheduled to make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
