Opel Mokka GSE Rally to debut in German Rally Championship stages
The ADAC Opel GSE Rally Cup will hold its fourth round of the season at the ADAC Rallye Stemweder Berg near Lübbecke on September 25 and 26, 2026. This event marks a significant milestone as the Opel Mokka GSE Rally, producing up to 207 kW (281 hp), will compete in all special stages for the first time in a German Rally Championship round.
To support the electric vehicles, the series is utilizing an innovative ‘Remote Charging’ infrastructure. Charging cubes are transported to necessary locations via battery-electric semitrailers, allowing cars to recharge between stages outside of the service park. This system ensures that both the rally cars and the support vehicles operate with zero local emissions.
Due to this new charging capability, the electric Mokka GSE Rally will now appear in the overall standings of the rally rather than being restricted to its own specific category. The competition features 13 teams from nine nations, with top contenders including Tom Dufour, Ioan Lloyd, and Timo Schulz.
