Opel to debut STX Concept at Paris Motor Show
Opel has announced that it will debut the STX Concept, or Sports Tourer eXperimental Concept, at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The prototype is designed to preview the brand’s next-generation design language and its vision for aerodynamically efficient station wagons, potentially signaling the future direction of the Astra line.
CEO Florian Huettl stated that the concept will showcase elements that will appear in future production models. The vehicle is expected to leverage the Stellantis STLA One modular architecture, supporting both electric and hybrid powertrains.
Alongside the STX Concept, Opel will showcase its high-performance GSE division with the GSE 27FE Formula E racing car and the Corsa GSE electric hot hatch. Additionally, the company is preparing to introduce the Astra GSE Line trim, which will offer sportier aesthetics and a high-performance 280 hp version starting in 2027.
