Opel unveils new 2.2-liter diesel Vivaro at IAA Transportation
Opel has unveiled a new version of the Vivaro platform van at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover. The updated model features a new 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 150 hp and 370 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
Produced by Tofaş in Bursa, Turkey, the Vivaro pickup variant was showcased to the European market for the first time. This specific body style offers a cargo area accessible from three sides, designed for utility tasks such as landscaping or municipal services. The vehicle features a loading area approximately 2,754 mm long with a payload capacity of roughly 1,200 kg. It also includes a 220-liter compartment under the cargo bed for tool storage.
In addition to the diesel option, Stellantis offers electric versions of the Vivaro with battery capacities of 42 or 69 kWh.
