Open-air cinemas host outdoor film screenings in Germany

Various locations in Germany are hosting open-air cinema events, requiring significant logistical coordination to transform outdoor spaces into functional movie theaters.

At the VfB Weiden sports grounds, Neue Welt Kino has implemented a setup featuring a 12 by 6 meter inflatable screen and high-performance projection technology housed in a mobile trailer. The venue accommodates over 800 visitors, including ticket holders and guests, and offers amenities such as a shuttle bus, popcorn, and food. The programming includes diverse genres, such as the Eberhofer crime film series.

In Neuburg, a summer cinema initiative organized by the Neuburger Rundschau, Neuburger Kinopalast, and Juliusbräu is utilizing the Juliusbräu courtyard. This setup involves installing 300 chairs, inflatable screens, lighting, and sanitation facilities. The event requires extensive preparation, including clearing work areas and ensuring compliance with local building authority safety standards.
