Open Fiber launches incentive program for FTTH fiber migration
Open Fiber has introduced a commercial initiative to accelerate the adoption of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology across Italy. The program provides direct cash payments to partner operators for migrating customers from lower-performance technologies, such as ADSL or hybrid copper-fiber connections, to full FTTH networks.
The initiative covers 1,663 Italian municipalities, encompassing approximately 3.1 million real estate units. Under the program, operators will receive a minimum of 120 euros for each successful migration. For a limited number of partners with high migration histories, this amount may be higher.
To qualify, orders must be placed between October 12 and December 31, 2026, with service activations required by March 31, 2027. The program targets areas covered by the BUL and Italia a 1 Giga state programs, which aim to bring ultra-broadband to underserved regions.
