The Panhellenic Firefighters‑Forestry Union issued a statement defending Siampano, emphasizing the extreme stress, exhaustion and pressure faced by those on fire fronts and urging the public not to judge a brief reaction. Oren news director Christos Panagiotopoulos also posted support, calling for understanding of the psychological strain on frontline reporters. Other public figures, including Lambros Konstantaras and Eleonora Meleti, condemned the online harassment and highlighted the need for empathy toward journalists working under dangerous conditions.
