Open Portfolio Casablanca launches second edition for emerging graphic artists

The second edition of ‘Open Portfolio Casablanca’, an international event dedicated to emerging graphic arts, has launched in Casablanca. Held at the Forum de la Culture – Espace Sacré Cœur, the event runs through September 6.

Following an international call for applications that received over one hundred submissions, thirteen artists from nine countries—including Morocco, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Egypt, Oman, Jordan, China, and Iran—were selected to present their portfolios and works. The program features exhibitions, technical demonstrations, conferences, and professional networking.

Organized by Casa Events and Animation in partnership with the Instituto Cervantes de Casablanca, Bassma Printmaking, and the École des Beaux-Arts de Casablanca, the initiative aims to support contemporary creation and foster connections between artistic scenes in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. A key highlight of the event is the selection of four artists who will go on to participate in the International Festival of Printmaking and Paper Art (FIG) in Bilbao, Spain.
